Edmonds Community College now has a student HTCIA chapter. This is the first student chapter to be formed on the west coast, and will be the fourth student chapter formed worldwide. The Washington State HTCIA chapter will be sponsoring.

The purpose of the student chapter will be to foster, promote, and encourage the study of criminal investigations involving advanced technologies and security by the academic community. To be eligible, EdCC students must be currently enrolled in a 2 year program majoring in computer science; forensics, criminal justice, law enforcement, corrections, accounting, auditing, or a similar program of study with a minimum Grade Point Average of 3.5 GPA in their major or a 3.0 GPA Overall.

Annual membership will be $25.00 per calendar year. Student members will receive full membership discounts at all HTCIA events, including the Annual HTCIA Conference. In addition, members of the student chapter will be able to post their resume on the HTCIA International Website at a cost of $10.00.

You will need two signatures - one from the current WA HTCIA chapter President, and one from the Chairperson of your major. Mike Andrew is the current WA HTCIA President, and is also an instructor at EdCC. He can be contacted via Mike.Andrew@edcc.edu. Mike is on campus Spring quarter from 6:00 - 8:40 PM in Snohomish Hall room 110.
